Taoyuan Lotus Festival

活動簡介

The Taoyuan Lotus Festival is a long-standing event in Taoyuan City. By 2024, it has been held for the 26th time and is known by the beautiful name “Guanyin in the North, Baihe in the South.” The festival is held during the lotus blooming season each year from July to August, featuring lotus music performances, children’s theater performances, food and agricultural education, agritourism excursions, and unique agricultural experiences.

活動內容

• Five Senses Experience Activities – Visitors can try lotus‑related DIY experiences such as lotus seed peeling, handmade lotus leaf rice, and learn about edible parts and nutritional components of aquatic plants.
• Hundred‑Person Lotus Banquet – A special lotus‑themed cuisine activity offering different menus each year.
• Cultural performances – Organized by the Department of Cultural Affairs, Department of Hakka Affairs, and Indigenous Peoples Administration, presenting weekend performance activities to promote the city’s arts, Hakka culture, and indigenous characteristics.
• Local attractions – Xinwu Ocean Hakka Culture Leisure Agriculture Area, Xinwu Green Tunnel, Lunping Cultural Landscape Park, Yong’an Fishing Port, Guanyin Caota Dune Geopark, Qingtang Park, Taoyuan Children’s Art Museum, Baishajia Lighthouse, Taoyuan Guanxin Algal Reef Wildlife Refuge, Yong’an Conch Culture Center.
• Local recommended farms and food – Datian Lotus Garden, Lin Family Ancient House Leisure Farm, Lianhe Garden Leisure Farm, Water Lotus Hometown Farm, Hezhu Farm, A‑Chang Uncle’s Gourmet House, Monet’s Garden, Hao Ke Canteen, Shui Lai Qing She, Qian Gu Culture Center.
