The Taoyuan Lotus Festival is a long-standing event in Taoyuan City. By 2024, it has been held for the 26th time and is known by the beautiful name “Guanyin in the North, Baihe in the South.”

活動內容

The festival is held during the lotus blooming season each year from July to August. In the Guanyin Lotus Garden Leisure Agriculture Area, lotus flowers are the main highlight, featuring lotus music performances, children’s theater performances, food and agricultural education, agritourism excursions, and unique agricultural experiences.

Five Senses Experience Activities – Discovering Local Food Culture and Heritage offer DIY experiences such as lotus seed peeling, handmade lotus leaf rice, and more, allowing visitors to learn about Guanyin’s agricultural development, edible parts and nutritional components of lotus plants, and the farm‑to‑table process.

Special lotus‑themed cuisine includes the Hundred‑Person Lotus Banquet activity, where visitors can enjoy specially prepared lotus‑themed dishes with different menus each year.

Cultural performances are organized by the Department of Cultural Affairs, Department of Hakka Affairs, and Indigenous Peoples Administration, presenting weekend performances that showcase the city’s arts, Hakka culture, and indigenous characteristics.
