A stand-up comedy show that turns social satire and cultural differences into laughter, seen through the unique perspective of a Japanese comedian. Zenjiro shares his observations and real-life experiences from Japan and around the world, with plenty of interaction with the audience.

Zenjiro is a Japanese stand-up comedian who won the Stand-Up Bangkok International Comedy Competition in 2015 and placed fourth in the Sacramento Stand-Up Competition in the US in 2016.
He has performed at major comedy festivals around the world, including the Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal, the HBO US Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, and the Rotterdam Comedy Festival.
Zenjiro brings audiences into the absurd and hilarious world of Japan, mixing sharp observations, social satire, cultural comedy, storytelling, and physical comedy.
With the energy of a samurai and a uniquely Japanese perspective, he finds comedy in everything from everyday life in Japan to cultural misunderstandings around the world.

Profile
上岡龍太郎に入門後、漫才コンビ「ぜんじろう＆月亭かなめ」を結成。数々の新人賞を受賞した後、コンビ解散を機にソロ活動を開始。ナインティナイン、雨上がり決死隊などを輩出した吉本興業の若手ユニット「吉本印天然素材」に初期メンバーとして参加。
MBS『テレビのツボ』『MBSヤングタウン』、日本テレビ『天才・たけしの元気が出るテレビ!!』など、テレビ・ラジオを中心に数多くの番組に出演。
その後、活動の場を海外にも広げ、世界各国のコメディクラブやコメディフェスティバルでスタンダップコメディアンとして活動。日本語だけでなく英語でもステージに立ち、世界20か国以上で公演を行ってきた。
また、スタンダップコメディの活動と並行して、日本国内外で「笑い」「ユーモア」「コミュニケーション」をテーマにした講演やワークショップも多数行っている。

Zenjiro is an award-winning multilingual Japanese comedian and actor who performs in English, Japanese, and Korean.
He has hosted numerous television programs in Japan and has appeared internationally on shows including Just for Laughs, Ed Byrne’s Comedy Gala, and BBC’s Japanorama, presented by Jonathan Ross; the US Comedy Arts Festival on HBO; and Raymann is Laat on Dutch broadcaster NTR.
Zenjiro has performed at comedy festivals around the world, including the Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal, HBO US Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Rotterdam Comedy Festival, and Tokyo International Comedy Festival.
In Japan, he won the prestigious ABC Manzai Competition and other comedy awards. Internationally, he won the Stand-Up Bangkok International Comedy Competition in 2015 and placed fourth in the Sacramento Stand-Up Competition in the US in 2016.
With decades of experience performing both in Japan and internationally, Zenjiro brings a distinctly Japanese perspective to stand-up comedy, turning cultural differences, social issues, and his adventures around the world into laughter.
