Cyborg Frontline in Posthuman Warfare

Contemporary warfare is no longer confined to tanks, missiles, and military operations. Drone surveillance, algorithmically amplified disinformation, and vulnerable digital infrastructure have allowed warfare to enter our lives in increasingly dispersed, everyday, and difficult-to-recognize forms.
The first half of the event will be led by digital anthropologist Mei-Chun Lee, who will explore posthuman warfare through a feminist lens. As humans, machines, data, algorithms, and infrastructure become entangled in warfare, the boundaries between war and peace, and between military and civilian spheres, are increasingly blurred. How do we understand the position of the human within these entanglements? And how might we reimagine resistance?
The second half will feature Feminist Art on Resilience: Anti-Surveillance Fashion Workshop, is led by artist Tzu-Tung Lee. Starting from drone reconnaissance, AI-powered image recognition, and bodily surveillance in contemporary warfare, the workshop will explore how different bodies are seen, identified, and targeted. As surveillance systems attempt to infer people’s identities and intentions from images, postures, and patterns of movement, how might pregnant people, people with disabilities, and those whose movements or postures fall outside normative expectations use clothing and everyday fashion to navigate and mitigate these risks?
網站:tzutung.com
